If you are innovative and have a lot of motivation to change something you will get frustrated soon. Don't loose hope as you can't change the world overnight, Managers and Directors here in Dell are here from last 10-20-30 years and they have no technical competency which match outer world. Also these higher Management people operate as a Mafia you will soon come to know that, Specially in E-Dell and Dell IT where you can become a Vice President without even delivering anything and just making some hype. If you can do politics and know how to please you can surely make your way inside ladder or you will be thrown out.
