It is starting to show that HCL can't hire top talent. Quality, knowledge and respectability of new hires has deteriorated in the last years.
Leadership is too involved in the daily grind and does not take care of leadership functions. Loosing good employees due to delays in salary raises, frustrations with progression, frustrations with work environment, lack of development.
Delay in verbal agreement of raise to actual seeing the letter / money is multiple month. Even for ordinary annual rounds. Everyone leaving gets at least a 15% raise in the new role. Some more.
Expectations. The management expects everyone to be available at any time. But also expects that you do it on your equipment, phone bill, internet connection, computers. Then it is expected that HCL has full authority over your equipment, as you are using it for company purposes. Double standards.
Leadership needs to concentrate on enabling folks doing their job and stay out of the way. Get rid of road blocks. What is right for India is not right for the US. What is right for the US is not applicable for each office. Higher ups need to trust Leadership and Leadership needs to trust folks.
