Interview process was simple and efficient, 1 initial phone call to establish communication, then 1 in-person interview with direct manager and that manager's manager. Position was offered within 1 week post-interview.
Intertek does not normally do cost of living adjustments. Raises are rare and are generally very small increments. Hourly rates are not competitive with the market, leading to constant turnover and low employee happiness.
My small team is very good about maintaining a positive attitude in the face of insurmountable backlogs of work. However we are a small skeleton crew and are always falling further behind due to not enough staff.
Intertek needs to seriously evaluate it's poor internal communication and inability to maintain effective staffing. Employee retention is poor, meaning we are constantly having to retrain people and cover tasks/processes that are no longer within our job description when people leave.
