
Ask a lot of questions. Depending on the department, you will be given very little onboarding support. Expect 1-2 years of just figuring out how it all works (which isn’t great, but most of your coworkers have been in the same boat).
Kaiser Permanente is an extremely collaborative culture. As such you’re most successful when engaging relevant stakeholders. Spend your first month getting to know people, and the context of their roles.
Learn names and roles. Write down everything, KP has a problem of never creating SOPs for roles and procedures, which really hampers quick development in a new role.
Build your network. Information is hard to find. Get to know people who “know.”
Go find another job at a good company.
