It went from "cool place to work" to "it gets the bills paid" over the last 1.5 years. Ever shifting focuses and questionable decision making has hurt the company quite a bit. There seems to be a divide between the higher ups and individual contributors.

Working with my current team has been a great experience and I identify with them more than my own department. People are respectful to each other and approach each situation cooperatively. We've built up a trust over time and understand how to get things done.

There's little management or leadership oversight on my day-to-day from my department so a lot of my contributions go unnoticed. I've become a reliable source of knowledge and experience when it comes to problem solving or getting things done. A promotion and raise is long overdue.
