Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

Good benefits and good people to work with. Leadership constantly making changes that are not congruent with the majority of employees desires and are always mentioning what a great place it is to work while expecting non senior management personnel to wear many hats but get paid below average.

What are some of the best things about your team?

My team is always happy to collaborate on tough issues.

What makes you most happy at work?

Being able to communicate informally with my Manager and teammates without there always being a need to set a meeting.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

The changes currently being made unilaterally by leadership are negatively affecting the people that work here and the business trajectory. Look at the loss of talent due to the in-office policy and insistence of good compensation despite the contradicting sentiment from non-leadership.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I feel undervalued because my salary is significantly lower than similar/lower roles at other organizations when compared with job postings. Leadership often points to benefits counting as compensation as if the benefits here aren't relatively standard to this size company in the software industry.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

I'd like for the work culture, at least in my department, to focus less on maximum efficiency driven by metrics and instead more on creating an environment where quality of work is valued and employees are incentivized to develop and stay with the company.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I am undervalued when comparing to similar roles or even lower roles at other orgs. Leadership uses "market data" to justify pay without transparency of said data and whether it applies to our roles. I'd feel better if my salary reflected my actual duties and benefits weren't used to justify low pay
