MISUMI has been an amazing career-starting company. Starting in an entry=level role and quickly being promoted into the department I aspired to be in has been everything I could have asked for. There is so much to learn about our industry, and every interaction I have I feel my knowledge grows more.
What makes you most happy at work?
Being tasked with something that my manager shows an active interest in. Although not frequent, the times when this happen make my role feel fulfilling and worthwhile.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I appreciate that casualness of leadership. I never feel like I'm speaking with a "scary" boss persona when I speak with my manager, and often feel like I can be frank and informal with them.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The willingness of HR and hiring managers to consider entry-level employees for promotions into new departments. It makes me feel a great sense of pride and loyalty to my company to know they invest in their employees and see their potential and capabilities.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The sheer wealth of knowledge my team has is impressive. Being a newer member of the team, I'm always interested in listening in on their conversations--I always feel like I can learn a lot from them. It's a great experience being around intelligent and competent coworkers
