Very good and welcoming culture. Challenging problems and a tech stack that I love to work with (React and Django). I feel as though comp lags in some areas but the bennefits are top notch. Management is transparent and seems to really care about employees.
What makes you most happy at work?
Solving interesting problems that will make someone's life easier. I really enjoy hearing feedback about projects that I've worked on.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone is so helpful and friendly! We truly want to build better neighborhoods and are therefore, very neighborly to each other.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone on my team is very smart and personable. We care about each other as people and understand everyones' work-life balances. It's a really supportive environment!
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Transparency is baked into the culture of Nextdoor and the Leads Team is as transparent as I believe they can be when it comes to company information.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
My compensation is being limited by my current level. With the projects and contributions I have made in my time here I feel as though I should have been promoted by now but that hasn't happened yet. I also have only received 1 raise in my ~3 years time here.
