I believe the level of responsibility as a property manager will reflect greatly on my resume. However my wage is far too low and is reflected in my eventual annual salary being far lower than previous jobs I've worked. I carry myself in a professional manner at this job and hopeful pay increases.
What makes you most happy at work?
Autonomy and ability to affect my day through my own efforts.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Support from my leadership team and coworkers. The understanding between myself and others that I am still very new to Public Storage and need to learn and acquire more skills.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Similar to my answer in regards to the leadership team, my fellow coworkers have been welcoming and able to assist when needed. Still have yet to meet all the members in my district.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Since the time I joined in April of 2026, my leadership team has communicated very clearly with me. I have felt comfortable being able to ask questions and grow as a new member of the team.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Respectfully in terms of the hourly rate it is the lowest I've accepted in a decade. Life is expensive and with inflation and changes to the economic climate I believe this job is deserving of higher hourly rate.
