When asked whether their employers do what they should do to keep them as employees, 55% of respondents said yes and 45% of respondents said no, according to the latest reading of an ongoing query by Comparably. More than 10,000 workers, predominantly across the tech sector, responded to the query.
By gender
The results show that 53% of men and 56% of women say their company leaders do what they should to keep them as employees.
By age
The results show that the younger the worker, the more likely they are to be satisfied with the way their company leaders are retaining them. The rate is 60% among 18 to 25-year-olds and declines from there, reaching a low of 42% among 51 to 55-year-olds.
By department
From a department perspective, the data shows interesting results: those in executive roles and HR are significantly more satisfied with the way their companies retain them (72%) vs. those in communications and sales, the next most-satisfied groups (58% each). Those in IT were the least satisfied (44%), followed next by those in operations (50%).
