Kumar Iyer — Head of Product at 23andMe
Executive Bio
Kumar joined 23andMe in January of 2018 and is Head of Product. He is responsible for overseeing the teams that develop and deploy new products and features at 23andMe. He’s excited to help our customers live better lives by understanding their genetics.
Previously, Kumar was the Head of Product and Engineering for PayJoy, focused on consumer lending in emerging markets. He also worked as a Mobile product lead at Facebook, helping to transition it to a mobile-first company with hundreds of millions of users. Kumar has also held engineering and product positions at Netflix, NVIDIA, and Electronic Arts and spends most of his free time chasing his two boys.
Kumar earned an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management and his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from UCLA.
