What makes you most happy at work?
Being secure in the knowledge that what I'm doing in the background may not always be exciting but is enabling others to change who we are, how we work and achieve sucess.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Many of my coworkers have a deep, cultural passive-aggressive nature and aren't emotionally equipped to handle direct conversations or to be disagreed with. This causes people who are assertive to be perceived as blunt, harsh, unfeeling and unkind.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I don't feel undervalued as a person. Novus is generous with words of praise and gratitude. But Novus is a smaller agency - people here could make $10-$20k more a year in the same role at a larger company.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Most company say you can make your own destiny. Well, at Novus that's real. The leadership at Novus will help you learn almost anything you're interested in as you grow. Most leaders are open and honest about career growth and helping you chart your own path even if it means they'll lose you someday
