What do you like best about the leadership team?
Theyre accessible and care about people
It is a nice staff yet sometimes, some people can get a little cocky about their position
So much to like! If I have to pick one best thing, it would be listening, to ideas, needs, thoughts, complaints. Listening and encouraging us to speak up.
Transparent, open and accountable. Every leader is encouraged to grow and increase their skills.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Its hard to get information from anyone
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Annual raises and great health coverage.
Its a civil service system
its really good and i can get covered for almost anything
Its civil service, so wages and benefits are set for everyone.
Defined benefit pension. Exceptional health benefits options.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
its not enough living compensation for the area that i work in
What are some of the best things about your team?
Engaged and oassionate aboit the work
the majority of the team is nice
we work together to get the job done
Great caring people working together, supporting each other, and taking credit TOGETHER for a job well done

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Work life balance and caring people
Everybody keeps their mouth shut when need be, and everyone is supportive, there is no workplace drama
no interactions with the public
Balance is encouraged. Teamwork, collaboration, and comradery are encouraged.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Nothing. CalPERS is the only place Ive worked that actually follow their stated 'core values'
What did you like most about the interview process?
Understood priorities of the organization
it was quick, and very formal
the people that interviewed me
fast and easy quick and fun
My second interview was with those team members that would be my peers. Nice way to make sure you will be a good fit!
