How's the vacation policy at HotelTonight?
We're a travel company, so we LOVE taking vacations. Our vacation policy is unlimited and we actually take it. Managers encourage you to take vacation if you haven't in a while, and we get credit every quarter to use on the app so it's definitely a company that encourages you to take time off.

There is no internship program
Does HotelTonight have any remote positions?
Some of our team is remote. Our Customer Experience team is entirely remote and work from across the US and the UK. But the Marketing, PeopleOps, Product, Engineering, Finance, and Supply teams all work in one of our SF, NY, London, Paris, or Berlin offices.
How does HotelTonight make decisions around promotions?
We set goals twice a year (some teams choose to set goals 4 times a year) and then get feedback from our managers, after which you can be promoted to the next level. If you aren't promoted, you'll get direct feedback about what you can do to get to the next level, and a learning and development manager who can help you work on specific skill sets and turn the feedback into a development plan.

It's awesome. There is a huge focus on learning and development, giving and getting feedback, and trying new things. We're not afraid to fail, so we take huge risks and learn a ton along the way. We also have a really thoughtful approach to the employee experience and have a bunch of programs geared toward making sure we are rewarded fairly, challenged, recognized for our work, and having fun. Like other startups, we work fast, things change, and we take on a ton of responsibility - but that's also why we love working here. We recognize how impactful your manager can be to your success, engagement, and development, so there are a ton of management training and coaching programs at HotelTonight. We also love hanging out together and we laugh a lot at work. There are always fun surprises, treats, and unexpected events happening in the office which makes coming to work fun.
