Mr. Eric M. Kirsch, CFA has been Executive Vice President and Global Chief Investment Officer of Aflac Incorporated since September 2012. Mr. Kirsch served as the First Senior Vice President of Aflac Incorporated from November 2011 to July 30, 2012. He served as a Managing Director and Head of Global Insurance Asset Management at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, L.P. Mr. Kirsch joined Goldman Sachs Asset Management in July 2007 to spearhead its global expansion in this market. He oversaw distribution, portfolio management, accounting operations and other services that are critical to delivering outsourcing solutions to insurance clients. Mr. Kirsch served as Managing Director and Global Head of Insurance Asset Management at Deutsche Asset Management Inc. He joined Deutsche Asset Management Inc in 1980 and was responsible for overseeing approximately $140 billion in assets. Mr. Kirsch served as the Head of North American Fixed Income, managing more than $150 billion in assets across institutional and retail funds. He was responsible for leading the integration of the fixed income businesses of Scudder and Deutsche Bank in 2002. Mr. Kirsch served as a Portfolio Manager and ran the Stable Value management business. He was the Head of DeAM's Fixed Income Management Team for New York and Boston, Group Head of the Structured Fixed Income Department and was responsible for Insurance, Stable Value, Enhanced, Mutual Funds, Municipal and Cash Management Groups. Mr. Kirsch serves as a Director and Trustee of the Jersey Shore University Medical Center Foundation. He is a Member of the New York Society of Security Analysts. Mr. Kirsch served as the Chairman of the Stable Value Investment Association. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst in 1990, an M.B.A. from Pace University in 1989 and a BBA from Baruch College.
