Overall I love working at Algolia. There are growing pains to any startup including frustration when there are changes to processes or rules that may make things tough but overall, we do big things and the right things here.
What makes you most happy at work?
I like the most when I'm very busy and feel like I'm able to contribute

In a sales role, closing deals is the most exciting part of the job. Winning as a team makes it all the more fun
What are some of the best things about your team?
There's alot of collaboration that goes on between members of teams even when there's no requirement for a team effort to be made bc of individual contributor roles
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The best part is the fully covered health insurance for a really strong plan, since that's not as "tablestakes/default" as things like a 401k match (though all of it matters)
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We celebrate wins greatly. There's a lot of excitement about what's to come. Our monthly wellness days really encourage a mental reset for all of us too and they're actually honored.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Very competitive salary for my position, and in sales possible and realistic to exceed OTE. Covering 100% of the insurance premiums for even the best plans is also massive in our wellbeing.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Love that there are so many women on the board - it creates a much more open and human dynamic where everyone feels empowered to speak directly to the ELT memebers relative to my experiences at other companies
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
There is a pretty reasonable realistic-ness during down times. Sometimes you miss your number a quarter. Instead of beating us while we're down, the company highlights the positives and acknowledges that things happen and is more action oriented than critical
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Love that there is women in leadership here as that's typically rare in tech. Love how approachable and real they are and how human Bernadette is when it comes to time off, world crises and getting to know all the new hires.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I love the collaborative nature of the role. It's not competitive and I get to cross function with people on other teams and get to know other parts of our business which I really like. There's a spirit of open/honestness as well which can be less common.
