Amgen Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Competitive compensation package hard to be beaten

It's a holistic compensation packaged designed to meet my living expense needs, rewards for performance and giving me the opportunity to share in the company's future growth

401k double match with immediate vest

Briefly reviewing compsny emplyee reviees

Fair for the market value

Long term incentives are great

Everything is very good as per my expectations.

Salary, bonus, RSUs, 401k, healthcare and sign on bonus

The best part of the compensation package is the annual bonus and 401k contributions.

Equity and shut down days because everyone takes them.

Reason able against industry benchmark

Benchmarked accordingly to the market

The 401k match is amazing as well as the LTI and bonus structure.

Fair price great benefits time off

10% 401K match retirement benefit

Review from Marketing Dept

The Total package is competitive

Review from Marketing Dept

retirement benefit is very good

Review from Operations Dept

Higher than national retirement fund contribution

Good bonus and LTI stock grants

Compensation was great for the level of job I had.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Low annual raises aren’t competiti

No consistency in payments across the same levels

Actually pay me market value

Base salary significantly below competitors (30%-50%). Stock vesting is very long so you hardly get anything each year. Health plan is lousy. Add to that HQ location is very expensive with no other companies nearby so you are stuck. And they know it which is why the compensation is so bad.

Because I know competitors compensate their staff much more generously (base salary is 10% below and stock compensation 50% below competitors.)

Getting 1-3% is not even keeping up with inflation in high cost of living area like Southern California Other Amgen site staff are paid higher because there are companies competing for staff

Review from Operations Dept

Should have negotiated for more before hire. After hired, almost no chance to change it without taking a new position or leaving and coming back.
