Base salary significantly below competitors (30%-50%). Stock vesting is very long so you hardly get anything each year. Health plan is lousy. Add to that HQ location is very expensive with no other companies nearby so you are stuck. And they know it which is why the compensation is so bad.
Because I know competitors compensate their staff much more generously (base salary is 10% below and stock compensation 50% below competitors.)

It's a long process in which you have to interview with too many people. It's stressful and time-consuming.
Meet the actual team members, remove the requirement to give notice to managers when internal candidates are interviewing
