In the past, I've considered the customer service to be outstanding.

The rates are so high everyone is cancelling

Listen to me, I have been insured by Amica for 45 years & this is the first time they have been unreasonable about a claim! They want too TOTAL my car for some minor damage! A claim of $4300 for a car that THEY say is only valued @ $5700. I will think about changing all of my $00k insurance !!!!!!!!

  • Look up the word “micromanage” in the dictionary and you’ll find Amica. Despite everyone successfully working from home during Covid, Amica is requiring most people return to the office 4 days per week. If working from home is important to you then Amica will be a poor fit.

  • Promotions at Amica depend quite a bit on who your supervisor is and how much they work with you on improving your skills. Promotions only happen when you take on additional responsibilities. Many customer service positions get ‘capped out’ with no chance of promotions unless you’re willing to move/relocate.

  • At best, 18-24 months. Nobody gets promoted for just having been at the job for a certain amount of time. Promotions happen if a) your supervisor likes you b) all of your metrics are above average c) your work quality improves & you take on additional duties and d) the planets line up just right.
