Respect. True diversity. Listen to clients, vendors and employees.

Communication & specificity. Lofty goals coming down from on high are never tangibly implemented to the smaller BUs

Ensuring that the local leadership actually lives the values that the parent purports to promote. Local leadership is abusive to staff both verbally and at times physically.

A focus on rewarding and valuing lower level employees. If they're treated like they're expendable, how can they value the company's vision, values and culture?

Parity with piers. Too much emphasis on organization. Not enough on individual

It is virtually impossible to get a raise above 1% and bonus payouts are very subjective.

My position would be compensated at a much higher rate at most competing companies.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

They need to learn the job & would be better served by getting training

Newer staff isn't trained properly and attempts to take cues from senior leadership and attempt to delegate their work onto other staff members which is a problem on two accounts - first, they need to do the work & learn to master their role and second, the other staff members are overloaded.

Tell the truth -- the inability to admit fault and learn from mistakes is crippling, professionally.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Respect. Respect. CEO has a huge ego.

Aon needs to start hiring junior staff at a higher rate as all of the senior management is retiring, leaving middle management with all the work and no junior staff.

Truthful, candid communication. Most people can work well through tough seasons if they believe they're headed in the right direction. Without good leadership that provides that communication and direction, the culture suffers.
