What do you like best about the leadership team?
Focused on growing the business. Most are great but there are certain inexperienced executives who are unprofessional and cannot manage people without temper tantrums.
They are accessible and are care a lot about the employees and culture of the company.
I appreciate the all-hands meetings organized by the CEO where we get to learn more about the goals of Appetize and the recent successes. It keeps us motivated and engaged in the success of the company!
They are always open to adapt to what the employee's need to better succeed
The leadership team works really hard and is very driven and they have a clear, evident passion for the company and product. The only piece of advice I would give is to make sure all of the teams are updated on different sectors of the company (ie: sales, product, engineering, etc).

What is the best part about your compensation package?
Stock options are amazing- more than I've ever seen a company give
Having all around great healthcare (vision, dental, etc.)
Equity is the best part
Fully compensated and thorough package
It is mutually discussed in bi-annual performance reviews. This gives me an opportunity to have a voice in my growth.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Compensation is roughly 30% less than the national average and roughly 60% less than the Los Angeles average.
A structured promotion and compensation plan annually - this has been lacking only due to the company being young; they seem to be currently developing these plans and understand the importance of this to the employees.
I should be making a comparable amount as my peers in the company.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone genuinely cares about getting the job done and working together to do so.
Great hard working people who make work fun.
I love working with my team we all have a great team and get a lot done every day.
The team is hard working and dedicated, always putting the interests of the company first. The effort increases and decreases with work load and deadlines, leaving off time for a work life balance and fun work events.
Our team is well structured and full of very competent people with different backgrounds, who bring different perspectives to the table. Everyone is dedicated to meeting deadlines and everyone works as a team to ensure the success of our department.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Our team can work better together by implementing meeting notes and agendas. A common problem I see are inefficient meetings! We have such a great culture that we are all friends, so sometimes meetings can get off topic and become redundant.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I love our monthly all-hands meetings and people are praised and called out for doing a good job.
Fun and fast paced environment.
The potential for growth is my favorite part. There is always a possibility to take on new projects and grow your responsibilities if you want to work hard and are up for challenges. It is also a fun environment where I am happy to go to work every day and see my coworkers.
Everyone is encouraging and supportive, even throughout different departments. We all want to succeed collectively as a company

What makes you most happy at work?
The office is great and all of the snacks and drinks you could ever hope for.
Coworkers, company events, and working with friends.
New projects and having the opportunity to learn and grow into larger roles with the support of the executive team.
Overall positive work environment, mentorship from my manager, learning new things every day, working with my team
Having a relaxing, stress-free environment. The new office is very laid back and modern and doesn't make going to work feel like I'm going to be stuck in a boring office cubicle all day. Everyone I work around is positive and never too loud making my day a breeze
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Sometimes the hours are long since we're such an innovative, fast-paced company. It's the chance you take when joining the tech industry, but the culture and people make the long hours worth it.
