What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Where to start. A real understanding of technology for one. Moving beyond a managed services mentality and becoming a true product company.
Vision, focus and execution. Run Apttus like a business not founders pet project.
Founders need to step aside and empower the people they’ve hired recently.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Package is reasonable / about right for a startup at this stage.

Once sellers hit quota, multipliers are aggressive, for both individual contributors and management.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
- Pension - Health care costs
Apttus pays relatively well when you join, but performance reviews & salary increases are minimal. There is always some reason why it needs to be delayed. All of the things which we used to have in terms of "perks" have all been stripped away in the past year.

Collaborative, intelligent and a good work ethos
Apttus tends to hire intelligent, competent people (there's always a few exceptions) and the people make the company what it is, but ever so slowly the good ones are leaving and the culture is fading fast.

Need to hire experienced people and leaders in HR.
Less meetings, more relevant and constructive.
Stop talking and listen. Trust the advisors.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
the people are all very good people
Great culture and environment BUT not for everyone. It's a fast paced company with a lot of change (for the better). Don't expect SAP or Oracle here!
Culture and environment is improving. Leaders are placing more of a focus on enabling employees to succeed and career development opportunities/promoting from within.

Never the same quarter over quarter, different business challenges definitely keep employees on their toes. Never Dull, always Intense. Granted, that fast-paced environment is not meant for all employees (which is why I see negative reviews).
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
There's no life in the office, some days only 4 or 5 people come in. There used to be perks to drive people into the offices and as those have been taken away, fewer and fewer people come in making the office a really sad place to be. The leadership are all about talk and no action.

Toxic bro culture where certain leaders are rude, condescending and incompetent.
Less finger pointing. More collaboration. Goals, tracking and accountability. Get rid of the dead wood.

Great business and opportunity. To execute, more experienced leadership for product, ps and ceo needed.
We've defined an exciting marketplace that didn't exist 10 years ago Quote to Cash. Apttus has many industry accolades as a thought - leader (Forrester/Gartner). We also have deep industry expertise / references with compelling use-case stories / analytic.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
The customers I deal with are usually happy at the start of a project, but during the project there ends up being numerous escalations because the customer feels they've been misold something and is understandably upset. It feels like we're constantly fire-fighting when it comes to customers

Leadership lacks a real commitment to becoming a technology / product company.
Need a CEO who knows how to run a growing, mature company. New leadership at the highest level is the company’s best bet.
