Most individual contributors are underpaid for their skills and experience
Living wages for all at the company, better raised based on reviews and no hourly salary cap for agents and managers to be compensated based on their work instead of assigning a 3 to everyone.
Comparable to industry averages. Sometimes when people move up in the company, their salary is based on their original salary adding to it, instead of paying for the position.
Still seems like a boys club - pals of the executive team get large scale promotions much more frequently than the rest of us, especially women.
Not a lot of promises are kept, and the communication/positive atmosphere is at a low comparatively speaking in regards to other places I have been employed.

I feel that because we are based out of Tennesse it's ok to pay us less. For Avant to be a financial tech company it's concerning that the local grocery store will pay more money than Avant.

I am underpaid compared to the benchmark of others in my field. Avant likes to pay by level, but does not take into consideration what other companies pay. Avant is also unwilling to make compensation changes in the short term even with data that proves a need.

Bonus structure is a percentage of your salary with multipliers depending on your performance score. This sets a frustrating cap on bonus potential who put in the hours. Also, pay increases are done in a very corporate, slow and steady manner. They should consider jacking up pay for top performers.

Underpaid for workload/expectation to juggle multiple responsibilities. Also underpaid for cost of living and level of education. A transparent comp structure would be helpful so we could know whether or not we're being paid fairly within our department, as pay and titles seem kind of random here.
