There is this culture that everything at Avature is good and there is no need to change. That makes it impossible to get anything done as everyone is so workflow focused that any small task takes months to complete.

It is well known the salary is a problem, and it is hard for Avature to be competitive. But for me, it is more important to feel comfortable and happy with my environment than being paid more.
I am paid less than the male workers.
Compensation is very low for industry standards and benefits are nonexistent. The company stays profitable by charging high prices for a software that doesn't really work that well, and paying their employees less than they should. Most employees make very little except for the Sales team.
Very friendly, great to work with, they are like a family to me
People are too caught up with processes and every task needs a case and a specific workflow. There are meetings to talk about how to approach each task rather than actually completing it.

Things need to be less entrenched in workflows and there needs to be less structured communication between teams. Managers want to control and micromanage every detail (including the CEO) and that leaves little autonomy to employees.
Interviews are hard, and you might feel nervous, but during the entire interview process I felt very safe, heard and comfortable
The interviews were very unstructured and there wasn't a clear interview path at all. It seems like they have a set of questions they ask, but just decide in the moment what to ask. The questions made no sense in the context of my experience and I don't think my interviewer prepared at all.
People are leaving Avature 5-10 at a time.
Managers need to be more flexible and give more power to employees. There is too much bureaucracy to possibly get anything done, and yet there are harsh deadlines imposed. Rather than micromanage employees, managers should focus on managing and actually forming a business strategy.
