What do you like best about the leadership team?

BigID is a capable, nimble, well-funded software engineering enterprise that starts with founders who are technically solid and market-aware, driven by short and long-term visions. Management is open and trusting with employees, and product evolves quickly and is customer/market needs-driven.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Benefits here are the best you will find. This is a globally distributed enterprise, and for employees based in the USA, you will find no company with a more generous benefits plan with more options, none. It's astounding.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The culture is "work hard, play hard," with high expectations of mutual respect, trust and openness, customer and market needs focus, and personal and team technical capability, People expect results from others and are reckognized and rewarded for contribution.

What are some of the best things about your team?

As a small team with much responsibility and significant impact on company succes, there is serious trust and high expectations. I believe this paradigm extends to other teams. Productivity levels here are very high, even for tech startups, and unproductive people will not survive here for long.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

The interview process has become better since I onboarded, but this is a difficult company to join, because everyone hired is expected to be excellent at what they are expected to do. This is not basic training and the learning curve is steep, with moving parts and self-management expected.

What makes you most happy at work?

I am most happy at work by management openess to new and innovate ideas, and recognition of contributions, whether expected or not. I think these practices are woven into the cultural fabric here. The management team and HR are top-flight in and in my view, you won't find better leadership.
