Empowering personnel to grow. Challenging those in current leadership to be more than mediocre KPI managers. Actually facilitate an environment that marginalized identifying people feel psychologically safe and not just one where minorities are forced to present a certain way to be valued.

Just be real and tell the truth. Ask for feedback and listen. Don't make centralized decisions for all verticals.

Blackbaud leadership understands that they can pay less than other tech companies because they are in Charleston, where jobs are harder to come by. They also hire multiple entry level sales people, knowing that the majority will not make it.

It is 2020 and this company discourages working remotely.

Focus on delivering a better product and actually be able to deliver services on time. Also, Blackbaud is rapidly losing people because they underpay or assign quotas that are not attainable.

Interview process was relaxed, and we were not asked for any additional tests etv

I had an abbreviated process because they needed an immediate hire. But typically it is a 3-4 month process with multiple rounds.

It was 5 years ago

I got to meet with various people in different departments and had a chance to ask them questions just as often as they were asking me questions.

Meeting with numerous leaders and getting a sense of the culture.

Supervisors avoid fixing problems. Employees often are not held accountable. Incompetent employees continue to receive key assignments. No measurement of outcomes.

Fix services and support. Move Raiser's Edge to the cloud completely, focus on actual integration with your own products and value your employees more.
