Our sustainability practices helped us earn a spot in Newsweek Magazine’s Top 500 Greenest Companies in America; we’ve also been recognized by ForestEthics for greener forest and paper policies.
Through initiatives like increased use of solar panels in our stores and distribution centers, paperless billing and paperless receipts initiatives, as well as new LED lighting in our stores, we’ve cut our energy consumption 35 percent since 2002. Whenever we can, we use eco-friendly products—like shopping bags, gift boxes, merchandise hangers and packing material from recycled sources.
We’re constantly searching for new ways to be environmentally friendly, being as aggressive as possible in changing for the better to preserve endangered forest, wildlife, water quality and eco-systems.
