I really enjoy our company. We've taken some positive steps to better align high-level plans with operational goals, and that's nice. I have confidence in our leadership, and as a manager I thoroughly enjoy not being micromanaged daily...but still being supported when necessary.

The wide range of things it covers: salary, bonus, HSA contribution, etc.

Most managers seem to be good listeners, and most upper-level managers allow us mid-level managers to run our teams as we see fit.
What makes you most happy at work?
Seeing a long-term plan come to fruition, reaching & exceeding goals, or even something simple like marking a mundane/rote item off my to-do list.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Most of us have been on our team together for years, and we are not only invested in the team's success, but we're invested in each other as well...both professionally and personally.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The bonus package that is specific to my team's performance. Even if the overall company or other teams struggle, I know if my team and I do well, we will be rewarded. That part of our bonus plan has kept me from even replying to/engaging with corporate recruiters dozens of times over the years.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Every manager I have ever had at BNSFL understands that I am a person first, and an employee second. They know that as much as I love my job, the company, and our customers, that all of those things are secondary to my role as a husband and dad, and they allow me to prioritize accordingly.
