I hate the video interviews. A recording will only tell you so much about a person. Also, some people are not able to be natural in front of a camera - we shouldn't just write them off. I think we are missing out on some potential when we only hire people who have good stage performance. I contend that looks play a huge part in that process as well. Subliminal biases are exaggerated through this kind of vetting process. I would prefer to give people the option of a recorded interview or an in-person experience.
Your first interview will be a recorded video interview. It's awkward. During mine, I had some random repairman in my apartment listening to me interview. You need to do well on this interview though because whether or not you get a live interview depends on the video interview. Oh, and dress to impress. Don't be a grunge. I've never seen someone get hired who came to the interview in shorts and a t shirt.
They use hirevue. You apply and then you may be asked to submit a video interview. After that you may be called into a face to face interview and if selected a formal offer let is sent.
Pretty straightforward. They follow up with emails all the time so I always know what's going on, which is really nice.
There's an initial video interview that initially feels intimidating, but is understandably valuable. An in office interview was focused and relaxed.
Standard. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Video then in person
