Braum's – The Braums I work at is very understaffed and I often have to put in too much work to compensate for the lack of people. Many people call out whenever and I truly blame management for its poor training to both new managers and other staff, it's lack of breaks, and that's just the start. | Comparably

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Market. Fresh Market is the most stable position. The staff you work with as individuals are very kind and caring. Everyone understands the frustration and not one person will disagree.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

If you are going to have everyone quit and leave few experienced people, give them a bonus. They are picking up all the slack and arent really being acknowledged (managers still complain) . Managers half joke about quitting. Im talking in place of people scared to lose their jobs in a pandemic.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

1. Lists of what to do for over all maintainance of the store 2. Proper breaks for all 3. Computer training first 4. Have managers train new employees (not leave them with busy staff who don't know how to properly train) 5. Make a HR poster available - staff think you have to call.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

They wanted me to be manager since day one. I never applied for the position and they trained me for about every position in order for me to transfer to it without me knowing. They sold the position I'm in currently (not manager luckily), which was a red flag- seeing its poor condition.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

What's going wrong is that staff are having to think like managers. That upper managers don't see what's going wrong when it's standards are low in a daily basis- until inspectors come in or corporate. No one wants to work when everyone calls out and all you get is a pat in the back for it.

What are some of the best things about your team?

What I heard- it's been two years since this location gave proper breaks. By a few weeks that I was there they began to give everyone breaks. Managers do try to listen to you. Everyone is trying to figure out how to make the next shift do their job more easily ( very slowly but surely).
