How employees describe working at BrightBytes

Very strong teams with great leads and team mates. A very fast paced environment that is great if you're in a learning and growth mindset. Definitely not for folks that want to just cruise at work.

Each team has a lot going for it. The problems are at the executive level.

  • BrightBytes has a very diverse environment. It is one of the most diverse environments I have worked in K12

  • In regards to gender diversity, the company as a whole is pretty diverse. Not so much when you drill down to individual departments. Engineering is about 8% female. Product is 100% male. Design is 100% female. Customer success is 100% female. In regards to racial diversity, it is above average. Any diversity in the company as a whole happened organically and is non intentional.

  • Nothing really. Interviews were mostly conversational. Only time consuming part was the written assignment which seemed a bit much for an entry-level role, but it was easy.
