Mr. Michael Tessler, also known as Mike, is Co-founder of BroadSoft, Inc. and has also been its President and Chief Executive Officer since December 1998. Mr. Tessler serves as Chief Executive Officer of Broadsoft Inc., President of Broadsoft Inc., and Director of Broadsoft Inc. at BroadSoft Sylantro, Inc. Mr. Tessler has been Executive Director of BroadSoft, Inc. since 1998. He served as Vice President of Engineering at Celcore, Inc., Celcore, a wireless equipment company and the Celcore organization of DSC Communications Corporation, which acquired Celcore in 1997 and which was then acquired by Alcatel USA, Inc. He was responsible for all product development activities for several product lines at Celcore. As a member of the senior staff, Mr. Tessler participated in the business strategy, helped manage the business day-to-day activities and led the business development activities in China. Mr. Tessler held a number of senior management positions at Nortel Networks and founded and led a services development business unit that helped local exchange carriers build and deploy advanced services on their digital networks. He served as a Member of Advisory Board at Glowpoint, Inc. since August 2011. He has two patents in the area of local switching, AIN and advanced call management services. Mr. Tessler holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
