Mr. Daniel A. Decker, also known as Dan, J.D., serves as the President at CoastWood Senior Housing Partners which he founded in 2006. Mr. Decker served as the Managing Director and Executive Vice President at The Hampstead Group LLC since 1990 and also served as its Partner from 1990 to 2006. He served as Co-Partner of Hampstead and served in a leadership role for each of these investments. Prior to 1990, he founded Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, P.C. and served as its Partner. His seniors housing investments have been made through three different public companies: Forum Retirement Partners, L.P. and Omega Healthcare Investors. He was also involved with several investments in the hospitality industry, made through the Bristol Hotel Company and Wyndham Hotels. He began his career as a Transaction Lawyer in 1980 at Winstead PC and served until 1985. He serves as a Director of Harvey Hotel Holdings, Inc. and Mountasia. He has been the Executive Chairman of the Board at Brookdale Senior Living Inc. since November 1, 2016 and served as its Non Executive Chairman since October 01, 2015 until November 1, 2015. He served as an Executive Chairman of Hampstead from March 2001 to June 12, 2001. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Omega Healthcare Investors, Inc., from July 17, 2000 to April 2004. He served as a Director of Sentio Healthcare Properties, Inc. from March 12, 2013 to September 2015. He served as a Director of Malibu Entertainment Worldwide Inc. since August 1996, Welltower Inc. (Health Care REIT Inc.) from October 27, 2011 to August 21, 2012,Wyndham Hotel Corporation from April 1996 to 1998, Omega Healthcare Investors Inc., from 2000 to April 2004 and Forum Group Inc. from June 1993 to March 1996. He served as a Director of Bristol Hotel Company. He served on the Boards of each of the companies named above, as well as various non-profit organizations. He has been actively involved in the seniors housing industry for nearly 20 years. He has experience in seniors housing includes investments in approximately $2 billion of assets across a broad spectrum of asset types, including continuing care retirement communities, stand-alone independent living and assisted living communities and skilled nursing facilities. Mr. Decker has a Juries Doctor degree in 1980 from the University of Missouri- Kansas City and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Economics in 1979 from University of Missouri- Columbia.
