Mr. George T. Hicks has been an Executive Vice President of Finance at Brookdale Senior Living Inc. since July 2006 and its Treasurer since January 2016. Mr. Hicks served as an Secretary and Treasurer of American Retirement Corporation and served as its Principal Accounting Officer. He served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Finance and Internal Audit of American Retirement Corporation from September 1993 to May 20, 2003. He served in various capacities for ARC's predecessors since 1985, including Chief Financial Officer from September 1993 to April 2003 and Vice President of Finance and Treasurer from November 1989 to September 1993. He received a Bachelor's Degree with distinction in philosophy from Stanford University in 1979 and an MBA in finance from the University of Tennessee in 1982. He also holds an inactive CPA license.
