Mr. Lip-Bu Tan is the Founder and Chairman of Walden International, an international venture capital firm founded in 1984. Mr. Tan is also President and Chief Executive Officer of Cadence Design Systems, Inc. and has been a member of the Cadence Board of Directors since 2004. Mr. Tan is currently a Director of Ambarella, Inc., Hewlett Packard Enterprise and several other private companies. He has been an Independent Non-Executive Director of Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp. since 2004. He has been Independent Director at Hewlett Packard Entpr Co. since November 01, 2015. Mr. Tan received his B.S. from Nanyang University in Singapore, his MBA from the University of San Francisco, and his M.S. in Nuclear Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
