The leadership team cares about the people that work here
The leadership team at Calabrio truly cares about the people as well as the business
open, accessible, willing to listen to feedback and take a different direction
accessible, connected, clear, driven, willing to hear feedback
The leadership team needs to be removed.
Examine what your managers are doing
The leadership team lacks vision. They do not communicate where they want the company to go, but then shoot the messenger when execution fails.
Review from Engineering Dept
The number one improvement would be to actually invest in developing staff rather than just talking about developing staff and mid-level leadership. Senior leadership also aren't doing themselves any favors by encouraging their mid-level leaders to blame each other rather than collaborate.
"Good Ol' Boy's Club" consisting of 3 major players. If you aren't "in the circle" and "one of the guys", your are first up when its time to find someone to blame.
Calabrio offers a variety of benefit options for each location
parental leave, student loan repayment
parental leave, student loan repayment, paid time off,
The medical benefits are comprehensive and pay well. It's a lot better than a place with a high deductible plan.
Review from Engineering Dept
The pay is terrible. The compensation is horrible.
We do not have a 401K match, which is a huge detractor from our compensation. We also do not have any paid parental leave policy, despite efforts from employees to promote this.
Review from Engineering Dept
Base salary is well below market median, benefits including 401k match is weak.
Review from Engineering Dept
My team is passionate about people and processes
collaborative, full professionals, fun, willing to step in and support one another
collaborative, competent, connected, talented, fun
Everyone is collaborative and oriented toward making the product better. People are relaxed and easy going.
Review from Engineering Dept
Remove management. Executive leadership is useless.
No one takes ownership in meetings. No one is a decider. There are so many artificial silos that do the company no justice. It makes it impossible to collaborate cross functionally.
Review from Engineering Dept
My coworkers are actually pretty great - that's the reason why I've stayed here for so long. They're generally pleasant and nice people
Review from Engineering Dept
Become more effective planners to approach tasks and situations analytically.
Review from Engineering Dept
The culture at Calabrio is collaborative and transparent
want to do better and learn every day
Calabrio prides itself on being one of the top workplaces in the Twin Cities, as listed in the Star Tribune ranking. They do a lot to keep employees happy.
Review from Engineering Dept
Many, many changes need to be made.
Leaders need to lead and be inspiring.
Review from Engineering Dept
Change in perspective - currently the company still operates as though things like firings need to happen in the dark (people getting fired during company happy hours without notice, for example) and training for mid-level management.
Review from Engineering Dept
Forget the "start up" mindset. Everytime something goes wrong, take ownership and use that experience to improve.
Review from Engineering Dept
The interview process was smooth and the people I met were applicable to my level/role
ability to meet with colleagues
met with the CEO, connected with coworkers, able to have an interactive dialogue
The technical questions were challenging, but my interviewers gave hints and collaborated with me to help find the solution.
Review from Engineering Dept
Nothing at all. It was confusing, disjointed, and unpleasant.
The entire management needs to change.
Working for a company that is proactive and manages with empathy is truly unique
being able to move my ideas and projects forward
Being able to work on a product that made work easier for the end users of the workforce management suite.
Review from Engineering Dept
Terrible corporate culture whose only emphasis is sales, but uses horrible software practices. Stay away.
Calabrio's culture is based on blame rather than continuous improvement, especially outside of the engineering department.
Review from Engineering Dept
Honestly, some of the mid-level managers are truly incompetent and need to be removed from their positions. More than 20% turnover in one group in less than a year usually suggests a problem with the manager, not the people.
Review from Engineering Dept
Too much focus on growth and not enough focus on quality and improving effectiveness for customers and employees
Review from Engineering Dept
There are some genuinely nice people, but nice and highly competent are not the same
Review from Engineering Dept
The way they treat their employees.
Review from Engineering Dept
Vision is completely lacking and communication is worse

Integrating the TeleOpti software into the existing Calabrio WFM solution will be quite a challenge. It will take the efforts of all the engineers who are knowledgeable about the current product.
