What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Leadership Reviews

The leadership team needs to be removed.

Examine what your managers are doing

The leadership team lacks vision. They do not communicate where they want the company to go, but then shoot the messenger when execution fails.

Review from Engineering Dept

The number one improvement would be to actually invest in developing staff rather than just talking about developing staff and mid-level leadership. Senior leadership also aren't doing themselves any favors by encouraging their mid-level leaders to blame each other rather than collaborate.

"Good Ol' Boy's Club" consisting of 3 major players. If you aren't "in the circle" and "one of the guys", your are first up when its time to find someone to blame.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Compensation Reviews

The pay is terrible. The compensation is horrible.

We do not have a 401K match, which is a huge detractor from our compensation. We also do not have any paid parental leave policy, despite efforts from employees to promote this.

Review from Engineering Dept

Base salary is well below market median, benefits including 401k match is weak.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Team Reviews

Remove management. Executive leadership is useless.

No one takes ownership in meetings. No one is a decider. There are so many artificial silos that do the company no justice. It makes it impossible to collaborate cross functionally.

Review from Engineering Dept

My coworkers are actually pretty great - that's the reason why I've stayed here for so long. They're generally pleasant and nice people

Review from Engineering Dept

Become more effective planners to approach tasks and situations analytically.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Environment Reviews

Many, many changes need to be made.

Leaders need to lead and be inspiring.

Review from Engineering Dept

Change in perspective - currently the company still operates as though things like firings need to happen in the dark (people getting fired during company happy hours without notice, for example) and training for mid-level management.

Review from Engineering Dept

Forget the "start up" mindset. Everytime something goes wrong, take ownership and use that experience to improve.

Review from Engineering Dept

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

Interviews Reviews

The entire management needs to change.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Outlook Reviews

Terrible corporate culture whose only emphasis is sales, but uses horrible software practices. Stay away.

Calabrio's culture is based on blame rather than continuous improvement, especially outside of the engineering department.

Review from Engineering Dept

Honestly, some of the mid-level managers are truly incompetent and need to be removed from their positions. More than 20% turnover in one group in less than a year usually suggests a problem with the manager, not the people.

Review from Engineering Dept

Too much focus on growth and not enough focus on quality and improving effectiveness for customers and employees

Review from Engineering Dept

What would you most like to see improved at your company?

Outlook Reviews

Vision is completely lacking and communication is worse

Review from Engineering Dept

Integrating the TeleOpti software into the existing Calabrio WFM solution will be quite a challenge. It will take the efforts of all the engineers who are knowledgeable about the current product.
