Mr. Carlos J. Barroso has been the Senior Vice President of Global Research & Development and Quality at Campbell Soup Company since July 31, 2013. Mr. Barroso serves as an Operating Advisor at Pulse Equity Partners, LLC. Mr. Barroso was the Founder and President of CJB and Associates from 2009 to 2013. Mr. Barroso served as the Senior Vice President of Research and Development for PepsiCo Global Foods, responsible for its US$27 billion global food and snacks, where he led production innovation and brought 100's of millions of dollars of incremental business in its international foods division. He served as a Director of Research and Development with Procter & Gamble. He cultivated expertise in the global beverage and paper goods sectors, as well as in market research at Procter & Gamble. Mr. Barroso serves as Vice Chairman on the External Advisory Board for the school of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. He has been a Member of Advisory Board at Functional Technologies Corp. since July 3, 2012. He has built an extensive, open innovation network with external research partners across universities, suppliers, consultants and small entrepreneurs located around the world. Mr. Barroso is an accomplished, international Research and Development executive with more than 20 years experience in consumer products, particularly in the food and beverage industries and has been integrally involved in the creation and advancement of numerous innovative products and technologies, including in the cultivation of strong intellectual property and associated protection. He has experience in Nutrition Product Development. He has also published articles and presented at conferences worldwide on a variety of topics including Open Innovation and Globalization. Mr. Barroso earned his Bachelor Sdegree in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
