Ms. Monica Diaz has been Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer and Adviser at Campbell Soup Company since November 20, 2017. Ms. Diaz served as Vice President of Diversity of Inclusion & Wellness at ESPN, Inc. until 2017. Ms. Diaz served as the Chief Architect of ESPN's Diversity, Inclusion and Wellness strategy. She joined ESPN (part of The Walt Disney Company) in June 2012, with over 20 years of experience in the HR field and over 15 years in Diversity and Inclusion, applied in Technology, Pharmaceutical, Apparel and Staffing Service industries. Before ESPN, she worked at Microsoft Corp. as Global Diversity and Inclusion Director and at Merck & Co. in a variety of roles including Global Constituency Groups Director ' Diversity and Work Environment. Earlier in her career, she held roles in Human Resources at Sara Lee Corporation and Kelly Services. Her experiences also include leading roles in Global Talent Management, HR Operations, Organizational Development and all other functional HR areas in the U.S. and Latin America. Ms. Diaz has a multi-cultural background, is bilingual-biliterate in English and Spanish, with proficiency in Portuguese. Ms. Diaz's world-class expertise and breadth of knowledge are frequently sought after by practitioners from different industries, professional organizations and companies worldwide. She is frequently invited to engage in public speaking opportunities aimed towards continued maximization of talent within the global workforce. Her work with professional and non-profit organizations involves roles as Board Member and Chair of Committees focused on research, strategic planning as well as development and mentoring of minority students in middle schools, colleges and universities throughout the United States and Latin America. She is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management, the National Association of Multi-Ethnicity in Communications, the Women in Cable Telecommunications and the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility's Corporate Executive Forum. She has been recognized with honors including Cablefax's Most Influential Minorities in Cable TV, the Tri-State Diversity Council's Multicultural Leadership Award and Hispanic Executive's Top 10 Lideres. She also completed the Women in Sports and Events (WISE) Executive Leadership Institute at Dartmouth College ' Tuck School of Business. Her qualifications include specialized certifications and training in Change Execution, Six-Sigma, Personal Styles and Preferences and Employee Benefits Law. She holds seats as Board member of Madrinas, Council member of The Conference Board and advisor to several professional organizations. Ms. Diaz holds MA in Industrial / Organizational Psychology and BA in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico. She is fluent in both English and Spanish, as well as conversational in Portuguese.
