What do you like best about the leadership team?

Leadership Reviews

They have a generally positive attitude, even in trying times. They always try to find the silver lining

Diversity is a key element

They really care for your safety, but their hands are tied...

depament mager edmonton Wal mart

Union protects you from most basic hassles.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Leadership Reviews

Staffing, doing their job and stop passing it on to floor employees. Provide workers (inside) with company uniforms, instead of us having to rummage through old donated items. Provide winter gear for all dock workers. Understand the work progress. Fix health and safety issues.

Working together as a team. Systems should run the same in each depot across the board! Or at the very least, in the same city/region.

Review from Operations Dept

Telling the truth and treating workers better

Paying to attention to what employees are saying. We're the ones out on the street every day, and we know what works and what doesnt. Realize that what looks good on paper isn't always the best way.

Trying being a human being.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Compensation Reviews

Good insurance, could be better on pension

The salary remains the best part of the package - although managerial jobs are paid less than in the private sector, the environment is also less stressful

Accessibility to Pension, Healthcare plan

Nothing, casual have no benefit

Benefits are good. Really really.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Compensation Reviews

long term disabiliy last 2 years

It's overmanaged with no knowledge of the mail process.

Having the same rules for everyone. As it is now, some classifications can carry over lieu days, others cannot. Having a decent break schedual, and not at the last hour of shift. Happens because of trucks and poor shift scheduals. Clothing allowance, your personal clothes and winter coats get ruined

compensate all benefits to the present year of cost

Costs of many of our benefits have risen considerably. Benefit amounts & such should match those increases. Glasses, massages, etc.

Review from Operations Dept

What are some of the best things about your team?

Team Reviews

again management dont khow their jobs

We spend too much time in meetings without an objective an without clear outcomes

Canada Post has excellent employees, minus the supervisors and management. Some too many managers don't know what they are doing.

Most are unhappy with how it's managed, overworked, lack of proper tools to do the job. Unsatisfied to always have to come up with solutions to fix errors from lack of timing, schedualling and inadequate equipment

We struggle through with no direction or assistance from corporate.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Team Reviews

Just be friendly to everyone

Review from Operations Dept

Everyone should mind their own business

They need to be friendly and not try to bully others

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Environment Reviews

over worked management makes it hard to do your job

safety matters to executives and management in general

There is only a negative vibe at Canada Post for their highly knowledgeable and fantastic work floor staff. The problem is over-management and over-supervision.

Customers, contractors and Co workers

The staff - we are all in the same boat and we prop each other up.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Environment Reviews

Let us donour job and appreciate us with good communication as well as understand our job better.

Proper maintenance of work equipment and adequate work scheduling. (cut-off time is cut-off time)

Better interaction with our managers.

Attitude’s towards staff from managme

Review from Operations Dept

Mangement needs to appreciate people's work

Review from Operations Dept

What did you like most about the interview process?

Interviews Reviews

it was relatively fast for a public sector company

My last interview was on the phone because of covid loved it

so simple any one can pass, thats the problem

I was hired without an interview.

Review from Operations Dept

Wide range of aptitudes tested.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

Interviews Reviews

Find people who match the job. Interviewing should not be done by supervisors who have only been in the field 4 times in the last 10 years - and those were for retirements.

Don’t hire people after their probation expires if they are lazy!

who are they hiring ?

What makes you most happy at work?

Outlook Reviews

Good work life balance for me and my family.

Knowing what I make a difference in other people's life.

Leaving. Completing my daily tasks.

Movement toward common goals as set by upper management

Being paid to be outside.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Outlook Reviews

late parcel and letter mail

the current CUPW strike eroded the trust of clients in CPC

The company needs to invest in new/different things. Examples of how have been suggested bu CUPW and have shown to work.

They need a top to bottom clear out of senior management. Too many old men with old ideas dragging everyone behind.

Management is what's going wrong
