Mr. George S. Barrett has been the Executive Chairman of Cardinal Health, Inc. since January 1, 2018. Mr. Barrett served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cardinal Health, Inc., the holding company of Cardinal Health 414, LLC from August 31, 2009 to January 1, 2018. Mr. Barrett served as the Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Healthcare Supply Chain Services at Cardinal Health Inc. from January 2008 to September 2009. He served as the President of IVAX LLC since January 26, 2006. He served as the President and Chief Executive Officer for Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., North America, which is a holding company of Teva Pharmaceuticals USA from January 2005 to January 2008. He served as an Executive Vice President of Global Pharmaceutical Markets of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., from March 7, 2007 to January 2008. Mr. Barrett has extensive experience in areas of importance to Eaton, such as manufacturing, regulatory compliance, finance, strategic planning and supply chain management. Mr. Barrett was responsible for Teva's Global Market Management, including strategies for positioning Teva in key markets, within evolving National Healthcare Systems. He served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Teva USA of Teva Pharmaceutical Finance LLC from March 1999 to November 30, 2004. He served as Group Vice President of North America of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., since January 2005. Prior to joining Teva in 1999, he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Diad Research, a technology start-up based at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He served as President of Barre National, a subsidiary of Alpharma Inc. from 1991 to 1994 and President of Alpharma's U.S. pharmaceutical group from 1994 to 1997. From 1981 to 1991, Mr. Barrett served in various positions with NMC Laboratories, serving as President from 1988 through its acquisition by Alpharma Inc. Mr. Barrett served as the Chairman for the Generic Pharmaceutical Industry Association (GPhA). He has been a Director at Cardinal Health, Inc. since August 2009. He has been a Trustee at The Conference Board, Inc. since December 2010. He served as an Independent Director of Eaton Corporation PLC from April 27, 2011 to April 22, 2015. He serves as a Board Member for the Generic Pharmaceutical Industry Association (GPhA) and also a Director of The American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education (APFE) and The University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. He served as Director of IVAX LLC since January 26, 2006. Mr. Barrett serves as a Member of Business Advisory Board of Cera Products, Inc. His service as chairman and chief executive officer of a publicly-traded company. He is also a member of the Business Roundtable, The Business Council and The Columbus Partnership. He also serves on the board of trustees of the Healthcare Leadership Council. He serves on the board of directors of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He serves as a Director of Nationwide Children's Hospital, Inc., Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland and the President's Leadership Council of Brown University. He is a member of the Business Roundtable and Ohio Business Roundtable. Mr. Barrett earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University in 1977 and his M.B.A. from New York University in 1988. He also holds an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from Long Island University's Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. He holds an Honorary Degree of Fine Arts from the Columbus College of Art and Design.
