I had so much promise and hope for an organization that valued data, candor and transparency. I was a big advocate for a long time. When I witnessed a shameful episode of trying to silence complaints of harassment, that started to crumble. It's been a long time coming but it will soon leave.

Do you have control over your own budget? Or is getting spend a nightmare
nightmarish
getting budget is often a nightmare, and marketing budgets historically get cut repeatedly over the year.
Yes! Centro's leadership makes sure the heads of the HR functions have the ability to be creative with their solutions. That starts with a healthy degree of autonomy with our budgets.
How's the work life balance at Centro?
It depends on your department and team, but the Digital Media Specialists typically work long hours and it's difficult to take time off.

It's on an Ad Hoc basis.

Centro is a lifestyle job for the CEO, who is frequently on vacation. He absolutely has no idea who to hire to take the company into the next chapter. Likeable guy but kind of phony.
Very compassionate, good leader, fun to be around.
How's the vacation policy at Centro?
Unlimited vacation policy. Political environment has business groups accusing other groups of abusing the policy - even when the data shows, with very few exceptions, that everyone keeps their vacation time around 3 weeks. 3 weeks was the former policy for new hires.
Does Centro drug test or do a background check?
They do a background check: criminal check (Federal, State, and County) and DMV

the whole company is in trouble. Media services isn't differentiated enough to stand out and the tech play has been a disaster.

What is the best part about your compensation package at Centro?
the base salary. all else is not great.
do you agree with the overall marketing strategy there?
5 of the most senior marketers at Centro all left the company in the last 3 months, so no - there is no marketing strategy to speak of there anymore. Shawn is in charge of the marketing strategy, and Shawn isn't a marketer.

the company has no real differentiator in an incredibly competitive and stressful sector. They need to learn how to build and launch better
