Chegg Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

base salary and perks such as fringe points

Review from Engineering Dept

It is one of the best in the business relative to the size of the company we are

Review from IT Dept

The base pay is solid and very competitive with industry standards.

Review from Communications Dept

the combination of base salary and RSUs

Review from Communications Dept

My salary is the best oart

Review from Marketing Dept

The medical options lare good

Review from Marketing Dept

They're comprehensive!! From mental health benefits, to fringe benefits, and everything in between, Chegg truly cares about our people.

Review from Communications Dept

Great medical, dental and vision. HSA, FSA, commuter benefits. Stipend for cell phones. Lots of extras like care.com, Iana Care and EAP support.

Review from Engineering Dept

Chegg--handsdown--has the best benefits. We have fertility benefits, parental leave, student debt relief, mental health, perks, and so much more!

Review from Communications Dept

Base compensation is pretty good but bonus + RSU package is poor.

Review from Operations Dept

Salary is very competitive, PTO policy is generous, great healthcare benefits, and they provide lots of other little perks that add up as well like Fringe points and discounts

Review from Sales Dept

My base salary is good and I am compensated well.

Review from Product Dept

Not sure about this one.

Review from Communications Dept

I appreciate the high annual salary

Review from IT Dept

So far my favorite is Fringe. I also feel very secure with my medical, dental, & vision.

Review from Engineering Dept

The Fertility benefit is amazing!

Review from Admin Dept

It is comprehensive and offers a great deal of variety for folks of all walks of life.

Review from HR Dept

Having unlimited vacation and companywide weeks off, as well as a shuttle that takes me to the office 2-3 days a week.

Review from Communications Dept

The salary is the most important part.

Review from HR Dept

Medical insurance and the benefits offered.

Review from Admin Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I don't feel undervalued money wise. Sometimes I feel like they have reduced the workforce so much that everyone is doing the work of 2 or 3 people, but we are compensated well.

Review from Sales Dept

It's easy to see how much other competitors are willing to pay for roles like yours. I would appreciate if the company would close the really big gaps.

Review from HR Dept

Our compensation should be reevaluated based on the market and benchmark

Review from Admin Dept

A recent salary increase with promotion barely covered inflation, so did not feel like a salary increase.

Review from Engineering Dept

More transparency around compensation ideology

Review from Customer Support Dept

Salary and equity are below par in the industry.

Review from Engineering Dept

No steady salary increase year over year.

Review from Design Dept

Underpaid in the current inflated world

Review from Engineering Dept

Why do people with the same job title have different salary? Or, why would someone with the same title and less experience get paid more that an individual with more experience?

Review from Sales Dept

I feel like there have been so many new responsibilities to my job that were added over the last 6 months and i am not being compensated for the amount of work I am doing

Review from Customer Support Dept

The compensations can be better than what they are now.

Review from Operations Dept

In-hand CTC should be more. Stocks matured over 4 year period of time and subject to market risk

Review from Engineering Dept

I'd like to be recognized for the job role that I am currently carrying out, because I am not

Review from Product Dept

There should be slab for all levels. These will make sure that people on same level are paid similar

Review from Engineering Dept

Its not being undervalued, as it is more of being underutilized. Lack of apt roles in the entire hierarcy is what creates a gap. If the company introduces few dynamic roles and pays for those roles as per market standards, the problem would solve. It would bring in more of work and pay satisfaction.

Review from Operations Dept

There must be internal benchmarking in the compensation based on different roles and responsibilities and there must not be any disparity.

Review from Executive Dept

CTC is less than market standard & most of the amount is paid as stocks units

Review from Engineering Dept

Adjusting with the market scenario helps to sustain but giving better compensation than competitors helps plan the future in the same company.

Review from Operations Dept

Compensation as per market correction is missing

Review from Operations Dept

I feel we work more and are paid comparatively less for the job that we do
