Set a clear vision for the company growth
Review from Engineering Dept
Be emphatic to the people and treat them without bias
Review from Engineering Dept
Give us a sense of vision, where are we going, and a strategy on how will we achieve that
Review from Product Dept
I don't feel undervalued money wise. Sometimes I feel like they have reduced the workforce so much that everyone is doing the work of 2 or 3 people, but we are compensated well.
Review from Sales Dept
It's easy to see how much other competitors are willing to pay for roles like yours. I would appreciate if the company would close the really big gaps.
Review from HR Dept
Our compensation should be reevaluated based on the market and benchmark
Review from Admin Dept
A recent salary increase with promotion barely covered inflation, so did not feel like a salary increase.
Review from Engineering Dept
More transparency around compensation ideology
Review from Customer Support Dept
Some of my coworkers could be better at communicating throughout the day. As a fully remote team, it's important to be able to get status updates, etc. I don't like pointless meetings, but quick slack updates are helpful and some people tend to be absent there.
Review from Sales Dept
To improve: upskill, move faster. To work better together: Communicate often and honestly about project status, priorities, blockers.
Review from Marketing Dept
More team spirit and less ego.
Review from Operations Dept
As Chegg is not able to compete with the industry standards in paying employees with respect to market standards they are hiring cheap talent and contractors from service-based companies. For example, our team has 4 contractors, 1 intern and 6 full time employees.
Review from Engineering Dept
More openness towards new team members
Review from HR Dept
N/A - I think Chegg does a great job at fostering a fun and collaborative culture.
Review from Sales Dept
They need to be less beurocratic
Review from HR Dept
Invest the time and resources to do things the right way to reap compounding benefits down the road. Listen to the people who are hired to be experts on a particular subject instead of finding excuses to keep taking shortcuts
Review from Engineering Dept
The leadership need to be more transparent and truthful. At company-wide meetings, they make it sound like everyone is just DYING to go back to an office. However, every single meeting where regular employees interact, they all say they don't want to return to in-person office.
Review from Design Dept
Have a clear vision and understand how we should all work together. We have 3 parts to chegg and i dont think theyre on the same page. Then within those 3 parts, theres additional groups that don't understand what we should be doing or who should be doing it.
Review from Marketing Dept
Really awful communication by recruiting and HR
Review from Marketing Dept
No real communication to teams, no clear company direction, I feel in the dark 90% of my time
Review from Marketing Dept
The Executive team is not focused
Review from Finance Dept
A lack of focus. Time-consuming project tracking bureaucracy with little value to the company or the project's success.
Review from Marketing Dept
Working with people in different time zones is difficult and inefficient sometimes. We should pay more attention at team resource and allocation in different geos.
Review from Design Dept
Too many meetings that bog down my production and I feel stressed to meet my individual goals.
Review from Sales Dept
They don't seem to prioritize promoting from within.
Review from Marketing Dept
Training in psychological safety to foster trust and respect of peers
