Q&A With Chewse Employees

Asked to all employees at Chewse

  • Mostly good, but sometimes frustrated because there are common problems that surface regularly that don't seem to be addressed or changed fast enough.

  • Excited and inspired

  • I look forward to it! The diversity of the team is really fascinating. I have fun, get inspired, all while making a competitive wage for my role. And of course, it's wonderful to try new restaurants and taking home leftovers once or twice a week has been a huge bonus for my busy schedule (and my wallet!)

Asked to all employees at Chewse

  • It seems more common then most companies, but maybe once a quarter

  • From what I've seen and heard, Chewse encourages internal growth. I've enjoyed learning more about other departments and opportunities within them. I do think that with the company going through a lot of changes, department leads don't have as much time as they would like to foster interest in opportunities, so it's necessary to be very vocal about interest in other departments. I do find teams to be somewhat clique-y, so it would. E nice to see departments break up a little more during HQ lunches or take that time to do a 30 min Q&A with a different department each week.

  • More common for teams outside of Engineering

Asked to all employees at Chewse

  • People who are vulnerable, passionate, intelligent, and hard working

  • People who are extremely proactive and vocal about their role and vision within the company. You must pay attention to detail because there is a lot of room for human error. I think that you have to be autonomous and comfortable with lots of changes thrown your way at a moments notice. Of course, being positive, leading by example, and having an inherent love for people and food is a must!

  • Honest people, who are self aware and without egos

Asked to all employees at Chewse

  • very challenged and inspired

  • The only reason I feel challenged is due to the lack of structure in training. I know that everyone is working hard to streamline this, so I'm looking forward to seeing improvements and exciting changes!

Asked to all employees at Chewse

  • It needs work. I haven't been approached by a meal specialist about feedback I've submitted, so it's hard to gauge how big of an impact the feedback is having on client experience. It would be good to get some feedback about the feedback. I think that teams are busy working on the task at hand for their respective roles, but I don't get a sense of "Go the extra mile" to do what we can internally to provide better service to our clients. That makes everyone's work at Chewse not always fun and knowing clients aren't happy lowers morale and creates frustration for everyone. We are working on updating the feedback forms so it's easier for each team to see information that is relevant to their relationship to the client. The inventory sheet is also being updated to make bag packing more accurate.

  • It tries to be fairly candid, but could be improved

Asked to all employees at Chewse

  • It's good. I think we're given enough time to complete tasks within a shift. I do think that there could be a "special task" sign up on the white board daily so that hosts and drivers can pitch in a bit with things around HQ while waiting to head out. This is an idea to foster more of a sense of community and giving within the office as opposed to obligation. Kind of an honor system chore chart if you will

  • Fast, but could be faster
