Q&A With Chili's Employees

We pride ourselves on hiring the best people in the business. If you want long-term growth in the restaurant business, this is the place for you. Or maybe we’ll just be a pit-stop on your path to glory as a ballerina, alligator wrestler, TV chef or nuclear physicist. Either way, we’ll help you make some money and be really proud when you hit the big time.

How employees describe working at Chili's

Chilis is not doing thier part to portect employees from Covid.

I worked there 7.5 years. Never received a bonus did use to receive anniversary gifts until 4 years ago. Because of my crazy home life I could only work certain times and days so that kept me from getting any kind of employee benefits. When trying to get my schedule fixed I was ignored. Let go

Fantastic place. Felt like a Family

A false appearance of 'we're like family here!' covers an underbelly of toxic indifference, chronic lack of accountability, and inconsistent management. Add to that the It's Just Wings concept kitchen at the peak of the pandemic. Our work in the kitchen just about doubled with no compensation

I've met some amazing people throughout the 9 years that I worked for that company. That's all I'll take from my experiences. I also learned how to work 8 positions at once while being paid for one. So my skills of speed were forced into superman mode.

Asked to all employees at Chili's

  • Insurance but its expensive, discount card, 401 k

  • Full range of health, dental, vision, 401K, and now offering to pay for team members to obtain their associates degree

  • Medical and dental to those who work full time, but they don't allow any of their lowest team members (as I'm lowest on the hierarchy) to get enough hours to qualify. They would cut team members fingers off if they thought they could make an extra dollar..... Brinker is a horrible company to work for. They o my positive reviews they get probably come from small towns where people can live off of poverty wages with minimum comfort. That's why chilis is losing influence in the casual dining industry. The whole model is a failure. They've shifted focus on profits so much that they've forgotten about their number one asset- their team members. Who are leaving due to extreme unhappiness.

Stressful environment, everything got bad in the last month. It went from a great place to work to do this now or you're fired. Something clearly changed at the top of the company for this drastic of a change in philosophy.
