How employees describe working at Cision
Cision has not compensated for inflation for American employees for the last 4 year, starting with Covid. Employee are making less, the company has laid off a number of personnel and abandoned infrastructure that helped produce product. Moral is at an all time low, and upper management seems absent
Not a lot after 5 years in company
There were a series of 3 interviews ending with a panel interview with 3 people, the questions were relevant and fair, the experience overall was very good.
Toxic work culture. No appreciation for our work or our time. Management changes their minds every week on what they want to do, and expect people to read their minds--meaning that they usually fail to communicate changes in a timely manner.

Very flexible. My boss has no idea what I do at all

It depends on the project. Some projects are very challenging in a positive way and some projects will make you very frustrated.
What are the team outings like at Cision?
Rare to nonexistent.
What's one thing you wish you'd known before joining Cision?
Ask what project you'll be working on and definitely look under the covers before taking an offer! If I had known the quality level of the code, I probably wouldn't have taken the job offer. Also ask who you'll be working with. There are language barriers and internet connectivity issues with some team members you'll be working with.
How's the morale at Cision?
Depending on the team, uplifting or depressing. There's been so much M&A, you have no idea who you'll be working with next or what the quality of the application is that you'll be working on.

Open office, small cubicles at most locations.

We're working an average number of hours. Depending on the team, the vibe can be uplifting or depressing.

Constantly shifting due to M&A. Most people on the engineering team have no idea who their leadership is or have never talked directly to them.
