The need to have Software Engineering managers who actually have a technical background. Its great that they're CPAS and have MBAs but maybe those individuals should stick to the business side. The leadership team needs to be trained and educated in the actual work being done. They tend to set rules and regulations that make no sense in regards to the work being done it actually slows the process down. They would realize this is they had more training about the actual job being done.

The managers and supervisors get paid almost double what a senior ops gets paid. The difference is the OPS actual does it all. They process the work, help others and do the training. The supervisors and managers only hit an approval button and deal with scheduling. The pay should be more equal.
