Yes, they run a heavy background check by a third party company called Sterling! They need the info of your previous work experiences (email-phone number of your direct supervisor) from the last 7 years. And actually they send emails, make calls and tried to reach the people on linkedin based on the names.

The above answer does not say if a drug test is also done. Does anybody know?
