CivicActions Interviews Employee Reviews

What did you like most about the interview process?

Fun interviews and very fast recruiter response

Candidates engage with multiple different team members throughout the process, and often get to meet with team members they will work directly with

The wait was a bit long between stages, the take home exam was not easy. But the process was worth it as the people I talked to during the interview were all great in conversation and excellent in technical skills, and the company turned out to be a great place to work.

Review from Engineering Dept

From a staff perspective, we've had great success finding people with great talent that resonate with our culture and mission

It is very thorough and cultural fit is really important

Meeting the people I would be working with, and getting to know the company culture.

Everyone was very friendly and made it easy to calm down and just be myself.

I liked that it was pretty laid back, yet still challenging.

Review from Engineering Dept

Meeting the team and getting to feel out the executive team ahead of time

The constant feedback during the process was excellent. I heard an update every week, and knew what the entire process looked like from the start. There was never a surprise part or lack of communication.

I had the opportunity to interact with many different people and ask questions to gain differing perspectives.

Very communicative and very straightforward

Review from Engineering Dept

CivicActions starts with a 'workstyle' interview that focuses on emotional intelligence and ability to work well with others. The fact that this is given more importance than the technical interview shows how much we value empathetic people

The focus on emotional intelligence

The interview questions fueled interesting conversations.

Review from Engineering Dept

They just got to know me. No ridiculous code test

Review from Engineering Dept

The interview process was extensive but at one point the interview was turned on its head when I was asked to spend the last 20 minutes quizzing the team members on the call about their experiences and their thoughts on the company.

Review from Engineering Dept

It emphasizes human-ness as much as skills

It was comfortable and was more of a conversation than a grilling.

Review from Engineering Dept

the ability to showcase my work
